queerly beloved: Embodying Our Grieving Hearts

with death mother

Queerly Beloved, let us gather at the portal leading us towards deepening our understanding of the grief shapes and death shadows in our lives.

Guided by the Death Mother Jovan Sage, we will come together in ritual to witness and tend to our grieving hearts as we step toward engaging the erotics of our experiences of living and dying.

Together we will:

  • Explore our inner experiences as we contemplate death itself in the context of the present moment;

  • Weave the themes of end of life planning, death education, with our aging queer and trans human bodies on the edge of the unknown;

  • Grow community and collaboration around grief + death;

  • Bring forth the spirit of our deities, ancestors, transcestors, and plantcestors.

Gather your grieving heart and any small offerings to the collective altar. At our table there will be warmth, nourishing snacks and herbal teas. Your fellow attendees are coming in from Vermont, Massachusetts and Connecticut. These are dearhearts and comrades along with their aligned folks. We will be capping attendance at 10-12 people.

Afterwards we will host an optional shared meal. It’s potluck style so bring a side dish or dessert. We will have mains and a full kitchen available.

Their teaching centers tending to our body’s way-knowing, and our communities of Ancestors, people, plant, and animal kin.
